
In alleged gangrape case, Meghalaya police held three persons
Guwahati: At least three persons were arrested by the police in Meghalaya for allegedly being connected with a gangrape.
As per reports, the three were arrested for allegedly gangraping a woman in Nongthymmai in East Jaintia Hills around three months back.
They were identified as Modify Dkhar (20 years), Trustful Dkhar (20 years) and Emkilang Shyrmang (18 years).
They are all residents of Syrpoo-Sutnga in Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills.
It has been alleged that while the three have been arrested, the woman was raped by four persons.
The woman has claimed that she knew all the found and was friends with them.
Further, it has been reported that the woman filed a complaint after a video of the incident had been leaked.
She alleged that the men drugged her before raping and recording the entire incident.
