Assam: Yaba tablets worth Rs 175 crore seized in Cachar.

GUWAHATI: In possibly one of the biggest contraband seizures this year, a police team in Cachar seized a consignment of 6.2 lakh Yaba Tablets from a car.

According to sources, these Yaba Tablets were seized from a vehicle at a check point based on a tip-off.

Sources further said that the police team also arrested three persons along with the consignment. The three accused were residents of Meghalaya.

Sources added that if the value of seized contraband is estimated, their estimated international market value is around Rs 175 crore.

Sources added that this is one of the biggest seizures of the year and further investigation is being conducted into its origin.
