Imphal: The Manipur state cabinet in an emergency meeting on Tuesday (October 31) declared the World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council (WKZIC) as an illegal association/organization under Section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act decided to recommend 1967.
The Cabinet noted that an FIR had already been registered against the organization on Monday.
The decision came in response to a statement by WKZIC on October 24, 2023, which called on the Kuki-Zo community that this November, before the harvest season.
