
The NSCN/GPRN has claimed responsibility for the attack on Ranglom village in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh,Naga Army tactical unit targeted the 4th Assam Rifles camp at around 8 AM on Monday.
The group termed the attack a โnecessary stepโ and accused Indian security forces of harassing civilians, asserting that it would continue operations to โdefend the Naga homeland.โ
The camp, located near the Myanmar border about 10 kilometers from the district headquarters, was reportedly targeted by what is believed to be a joint operation by cadres ofย ULFA-Independentย andย NSCN (K-YA).
Sources said the attack occurred around 8:45 AM. The Assam Rifles responded promptly with a counterattack. No casualties have been reported so far.
Following the incident, security has been reinforced in the border area, and a joint operation involving security forces has been launched to secure the region.
