During 77th Republic Day celebrations, an Assam Rifles camp in Arunachal Pradeshโ€™s Changlang district came under attack by Freedom Fighters on Monday morning around 8:45 a.m. at the Ranglum Assam Rifles camp, located near the Myanmar border, approximately 10 kilometres from the Changlang district headquarters.

A joint operation by cadres of ULFA-Independent and NSCN (K-YA) was responsible for the assault.

Following the attack, Assam Rifles personnel launched a prompt counter-operation.

In response, security has been significantly reinforced across the border region. A coordinated joint operation involving security forces has been initiated to track and neutralise the militants.

The incident comes amid heightened vigilance in the Northeast during national celebrations, underscoring the persistent threat posed byย  groups along theย Assam-Arunachal-Myanmar frontier.
