Aizawl: In a statement issued on Wednesday, Zoro Reunification Organization (ZORO) secretary, L Ramdinliana Renthlei has condemned what he described as “alleged barbarities” by the Manipur police and their alleged collaborators. expressed strong condemnation for the so-called “Meitei Terrorists”. organizations, against the Zo descendants in and around Moreh.
“We strongly condemn the action of the Manipur Police Commandos and their partners, Meitei terrorist organizations, against the Kuki-Zo tribes in Moreh and its neighboring areas,” Renthlei announced.
ZORO accused the Manipur Police of collaborating with various Meitei organizations, calling them accomplices in a joint effort to exterminate the Zo tribes. “We want to make it clear that we cannot be eliminated so easily, and we assure the Zhou tribes that we will continue to stand up for them,” Renthlei stressed.
The statement shed light on the ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur, revealing the significant struggles faced by the affected communities. Despite the current unrest, the Indian government’s silence on the issue has been heavily criticized by ZORO.
“Despite the numerous struggles arising out of the ethnic conflict in Manipur, the Indian government is silent, a stance we strongly condemn,” Renthlei expressed his displeasure.
Renthlei further questioned the Indian government’s commitment to the welfare of the Zo tribes, asking if they were considered part of the Indian bloodline. He emphasized the need to deal with the ongoing ethnic tension and urged the government to intervene in the matter.
