Mahindra shared the video in a Twitter post and admitted that he had no idea that Mawsynram is the wettest place in the world. During all this, he thought it was Cherrapunji, also called Sohra, which is about 80 km from Mawsynram.

Social media users quickly shared their opinions on the video shared by Mahindra.
One user, sharing her personal experience, wrote, “My geography teacher, Mrs. Vijay Lakshmi, from the mid-90’s, was proud to know that Mawsynram is a wet place. She used to ask me to write because the syllabus was not updated. Coincidentally, I was thinking about this knowledge only last week.
