Hojai: Villagers torture baby elephant, Recently the Hojai district of Assam witnessed the most inhumane treatment of wildlife.

A video has gone viral on social media in which a mob can be seen torturing a baby elephant.

The incident was reported from Shalbagan area near Lanka town in Hojai district of Assam.

The baby elephant, mistreated by the villagers, got separated from its mother after the villagers drove away the herd.
This incident is one of the human-animal conflicts that have been going on in Assam since recent times.
