Imphal: Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal district expressed its anger over police commandos who allegedly labeled three arrested Myanmar nationals as Kuki militants and alleged that Mora-based organizations were supporting and sponsoring illegal immigrants from Myanmar.
The Kuki body criticized the state government in a statement, saying, “Ironically, the police commando described the arrested trio as Kuki militants in Imphal-based news.
The police commando also alleged that Moreh’s CSOs were objecting to the posting of CDOs in Moreh town to bring more Myanmar nationals into the state.
The same was also uploaded by N Biren Singh on his social media accounts.
KIT would like to clarify that no Moreh-based organization sponsors illegal immigrants from Myanmar. At the same time, it will never tolerate false and fabricated allegations by police commandos of communal forces.
A police commando in Moreh Town on October 22 arrested 3 Myanmar nationals who were believed to be drug users.
“KIT wishes to make it clear that the arrested Myanmar nationals are neither kooky militants nor are they related to the people and organizations of Mora.
In fact, they are suspected drug users. It is said that the police commandos had sheltered them.
It is known to the public from all walks of life that some police commandos are drug users. And the CDO sheltered many drug users from Myanmar and used them as drug suppliers.
“Furthermore, there have been several instances in the past where state forces, particularly police commandos deployed in Moreh and Tengnoupal, have been caught with drugs on the Imphal-Moreh road,” the Koki body’s statement said.
Describing reports of Myanmar nationals as Kuki militants as fake and baseless, the Kuki body added in its statement, “Spreading false and fake propaganda and spreading baseless allegations and fabricated news by police commandos and some Meiteis.”
One of the main activities has been the media since the outbreak of the Meitei ethnic cleansing.
The state forces especially the police commandos whenever they come out of their complex make fake and fabricated news which made the people of Moreh want to stay inside their complex or leave Moreh city.
The Assam Rifles and Central Security Forces (BSF, RAF) had no problem with the people in Mora town.
They are neutral forces and the masses feel safe and secure. But whenever and wherever the police commandos step out of their complex (/ outpost) they come up with one or the other fake and concocted allegations.
This is not the first time that state forces have leveled false allegations against a particular community/organization.
Their motives clearly show that they are communal forces, they are Meitei forces that is why CSO asked them to go back to the Valley.
