
UNLF-K active freedom fighter arrested by Assam Rifles
Imphal: Security forces on Wednesday arrested a suspected United National Liberation Front (UNLF-K) freedom fighter near the Manipur-Myanmar border.
Acting on intelligence, troops of Assam Rifles ambushed a man near Namlee Market in Kamjong district.
“The man, on questioning, revealed his affiliation with the UNLF-K”, confirmed an official.
After questioning, the individual was identified as one L Rishikanta Singh, 18, son of L Kanhai Singh of Naranseina, Bishnupur, Manipur, the AR stated.
The apprehended individual was handed over to Kasom Khullen PS. No incriminating articles were seized from him.
Based on the report, a regular case under FIR No. 4(2)2024 KKL PS U/S. 20 UA(P) act was registered for investigation, said reports.
