Unknown miscreants brutally attacked Two Meitei Pangals in Moreh

Imphal: Some miscreants brutally attacked two Meitei Pangals who were going to Moreh to deliver sand and stones for the construction of IRB barracks.
The construction of an IRB barracks near Moreh police station started on 3 May 2023 before the Manipur crisis but could not be completed due to the crisis.
A truck was returning from Imphal after delivering sand and stones to the construction site when it was intercepted by some suspected Kuki militants near Moreh College today around 1 pm.
The armed miscreants took the driver and the helper to ICP Road and beat them black and blue before leaving.
The driver and helper have been identified as Md Ila S/o Singamayum Ibungo and Md Imin S/o Nongyaimayum Sanaton. Both of them are in their 30s from Kairang Chingya Leikai.
After treatment at Moreh hospital, both were taken inside Moreh police station.
Although both sand and stone are available for construction in Moreh, the Kukis have been denying these construction materials to the state forces deployed there.
