
Union minister Amit Shah is on 3 day visit of Assam and Meghalaya
Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the northeastern states of Assam and Meghalaya.
Amit Shah will be on a three-day visit to the states from Thursday (January 18).
He will inaugurate the Cyber Security Operational Center at the headquarters of the Assam Rifles in Shillong, Meghalaya.
On Friday (January 19), Ami Shah will preside over the 71st Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Shillong, Meghalaya.
He will also review the operations of the North Eastern Space Application Center (NESAC).
Additionally, Amit Shah will attend the 61st Foundation Day celebrations of Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) in Tezpur, Assam.
In the afternoon, he will attend the 13th triennial conference of the All Bathou Mahasabha at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district.
In the evening, Shah will attend the passing out parade of 2,551 Assam Police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. Later, he will launch a book, ‘Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan’, at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium in the city.
The Union Home Minister will also inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront in Guwahati before returning to Delhi.
