Under Rozgar Mela PM to issue 71k appointment letters on Apr 13

India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to distribute around 71,000 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela to the new recruits through a video conference on April 13, 2023 at 10.30 am.

An official release said that the Rozgar Mela is an important step in the Prime Minister’s efforts to prioritize job creation.
The event is expected to generate more employment opportunities and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth to participate in national development, the release added.
Rozgar Mela N.F. The railway will have jurisdiction over three different locations, namely Guwahati in Assam, Siliguri in North Bengal, and Dimapur in Nagaland. Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH, will give appointment letters to the newly selected candidates at the Railway Rang Bhavan Cultural Hall, Guwahati.
Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Ministry of Labor and Employment Rameswar Teli will distribute the appointment letters at Imliyanger Memorial Centre, Dimapur.
Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India Nisith Pramanik Siliguri will be the Chief Guest of the program and will distribute the appointment letter at the Railway Officers Club, New Jalpaiguri.

A total of 207 candidates in Guwahati, 217 in Dimapur, and 225 in Siliguri will get appointment letters in various government departments during the program.
The new recruits, who are selected from all over the country, will fill various posts under the Government of India, such as Train Manager, Station Master, Sr. Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Constable, Stenographer, Jr. Accountant, Postal Assistant. , Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Senior Draftsman, JE/Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officers, PA, MTS, and more.
Apart from their roles, the new appointees will have an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation course for all new appointees in various government departments.
