Under Jal Jeevan Mission center allocated RS 2,000 Cr for Tripura

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday said the Center has sanctioned Rs 2,000 crore for the state under the Jal Jeevan Mission for providing piped drinking water to households.

Saha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jal Shakti Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for sanctioning Rs 2,000 crore to implement the pipe water scheme.
At present, 56 percent of the households in the northeastern state have piped water facilities and the state has a plan to supply water to all households.

“I am happy to inform that the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti has sanctioned Rs 2,000 crore for Tripura under Jal Jeevan Mission 2023-24 and this fund is in addition to the total Rs 1,930 crore received by Tripura in the last 3 years. is more than”, he told reporters. After attending the party program at Rabindra Bhavan.
โ€œI sincerely thanked PM Narendra Modi ji and Union Minister Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ji for sanctioning the fund. This will ensure piped drinking water supply to more and more householdsโ€, said Saha.

Earlier, Chief Minister, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma joined a program to facilitate party workers for BJP’s victory in the assembly elections.
“The BJP’s victory in the 2023 assembly elections was not easy and smooth as the opposition tried hard to prevent the party’s victory. But it was under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda. It was the party workers who made the party’s victory possible”, said Bhattacharjee.
He urged the party leaders and workers to start organizational work to ensure the party’s victory in the two Lok Sabha seats to be held next year.

“Prime Minister Modiji, Amit Shahji and Naddaji helped the state unit of the party in the assembly elections and now it is our turn to give two Lok Sabha seats to the Prime Minister”, he added.
