Ukhrul Bomb blast injuired 3 civilians just before R-Day

Ukhrul: Just a day before the Republic Day celebrations, a powerful bomb exploded in Manipur’s district on Wednesday, injuring three passers-by.
According to police sources, the incident took place at Community Circle (Gandhi Chowk) of Ukhrul city around 5 pm.
Three people, including a woman crossing the road, were injured when the suspected grenade exploded. He has been taken to Leishiphung Hospital for further treatment, a source said.

Security forces have cordoned off the area for further investigation.

Speaking to East Mojo over phone, Ukhrul SP Ningshin Vasham said they could not ascertain the motive behind the bomb attack as no one was targeted.
Three civilians were injured in the blast, but fortunately, all are out of danger, he added.

No individual or organization has claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of this report.
