Two youths from the northeastern state of Manipur have been shot dead in Myanmar.
The two youths were from Moreh, an Indo-Myanmar border town in Manipur.
The deceased have been identified as M Iyanar and P Mohon of Mora, Manipur.
The two were allegedly shot dead in Tamu, Myanmar, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, locals in Moreh, Manipur, have closed their shops in protest of the killings.
On the other hand, Indian officials are in touch with Myanmar officials on the issue.
Two from Manipur ‘shot dead’ and there bodies of the two deceased youths belonging to Moreh in Manipur are likely to be handed over to their families on Wednesday.
It is alleged that the two were shot dead by a militia group backed by Myanmar’s military.
