
Two-day Budget session in Arunachal assembly to begin on Feb 8
Itanagar: The budget session of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly will begin on February 8.
Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General KT Parnaik will address the members of the assembly on the first day of the two-day budget session.
Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein is expected to present a vote-on-account the following day.
Chowna Mein, who also holds the portfolio of the state’s finance minister, is likely to present the interim budget on February 09.
The session comes ahead of the assembly elections and Lok Sabha polls scheduled for later this year. As such, it is expected to be a key platform for the government to highlight its achievements and present its plans for the future.
It is important to note that this is just a preview of the budget session, and the actual agenda and proceedings may change.
According to reports, several bills are expected to be tabled in the two-day session in Arunachal Pradesh.
