Two arrested near Kolkata in Arunachal policeman’s murder

Itanagar: Three suspects in the murder of a sub-inspector in Itanagar have been arrested, Arunachal Pradesh police said on Wednesday.

Sub-Inspector Sibu George 50, a resident of Kerala who was posted in the DGP cell of the police headquarters here, was found dead at his headquarters in SRPL Colony here on Friday morning.

The two suspects were arrested from Barrackpore near Kolkata on Tuesday, while the main accused was arrested from Lakhimpur district of Assam, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kamdam Sikom said..

“The murder weapon, knife, was recovered on the basis of information provided by the main accused the forensic team is working on it,” the officer said.
