Tura: Meghalaya MLA Leslie Sangma joins UDP resigned from BJP

Tura: On Dec 28 Ending speculations on Sangma’s move by BJP member John Leslie after a recent discussion with district-level party leader Wilver Greham Danggo, the former MLA reportedly The party has left.
Sangma officially joined the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Wednesday, UDP West Garo Hills president Ludwig Sangma said in a statement.
He was received by Ludwig Sangma and other party leaders. “I welcome him and his team members to the party on behalf of UDP West Garo Hills. Their induction will strengthen the party,” said the UDP West Garo Hills president.
Leslie, who reportedly joined the BJP in Shillong in the presence of party leaders A L Hek, Sanbor Shullai and other leaders, submitted his resignation letter to the state BJP president on December 20.
In his letter, the former MLA said, “I am resigning from the party as my joining and your joining the party has not been accepted and recognized by the BJP district level.”
