Tripura is different from Delhi, Bengal: Congress told AAP, Trinamool
Agartala: Tripura is different from Delhi, Bengal: Congress told AAP, Trinamool, Tripura Congress leader and former minister Sadeep Rai Berman on Wednesday issued a veiled warning to the Trinamool Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party over Tripura’s “political campaign”.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Bhawan here, Berman said, “Many political parties are now trying to enter the political arena of Tripura to test the political waters. They want to provide governance models like Delhi and Bengal.” Making big promises. I want to remind them: Tripura is different from Bengal and Delhi.
Refraining from naming any party, Berman said, “The people of Tripura have already lost faith in the BJP and make no mistake. The voters of Tripura are politically aware that Don’t make the same mistake over and over again. ”
Explaining his statement, Berman said, “Unlike large states like West Bengal and Delhi, Tripura has very few sources of revenue. Only 13-14% of the state exchequer is generated locally. Already, the state government has huge recurring expenditures in the form of social pensions and allowances for the backward classes. Will have to be increased, which will again affect the people of the state. ”
He added that there are a total of 33 social pension schemes in the state, and 30 of them are state-sponsored schemes. The three schemes are funded by the central government.
Berman, in the presence of other senior party leaders, welcomed 84 leaders of various political parties from Dharmanagar under North Tripura district. Apart from the BJP, the CPI (M) and the Trinamool Congress, senior leaders who have joined the great old party have also vented their anger against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Regarding the list of candidates, AICC secretary and in-charge of Tripura Szaritha Laitphlang said, “The list of candidates is almost ready and is now with the party high command for approval.”
