Agartala:Tripura Eight Rohingya refugees detained on their way to Bangladesh. At least eight Rohingya refugees have been detained by police in Tripura’s Sepahijala district.

The detained Rohingya refugees, including two women and five children, were detained on their way to Bangladesh.

The detained Rohingya refugees, who were detained by Tripura police, had reached the state from Delhi via Guwahati.

The arrested Rohingya refugees have been identified as Abdul Hasim (29), Fatima Begum (30) and Manisha (32), while the children are Ali, Suleiman, Isaak, Tahidul slam and Mufaz-ul-Islam, Tripura police said.

In May, the BSF detained 24 Rohingya refugees from Unakoti district of Tripura.
