AGARTALA: Tripura Congress MLA Sudeep Roy Burman says that BJP has to be eliminated like the British. Newly elected Congress MLA Sudip Roy Burman has called on party workers to fight a united war against the ruling BJP, which is similar to the Congress party-led freedom movement against the British.
Burman said, “The fate of the BJP should be like that of the British.” Just as the British had to leave the country. BJP also has to be defeated from power in the same way.
He added that the path will be full of challenges but we have to unite and lead from the front.
Criticizing the BJP, Sudip Roy Barman said, “The BJP has understood very well that its days are numbered. The politically motivated investigations into Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are clear examples of the fact that their support base is fast eroding.
“And, the only way they have left is to tarnish the image of political opponents,” Barman said.
Criticizing the BJP’s corporate-friendly image, Barman said, “After the BJP came to power, the development of the country has become the subject of the whims of a handful of capitalists close to the saffron party. The people of this country will never allow this.
The Congress MLA MLA Sudeep Roy Burman was addressing the Satyagraha held at Gandhi Ghat in Agartala, Tripura to protest against EDK’s summons to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Tripura Congress president Birajit Sinha while addressing the event said that the Congress will not leave even an inch of ground to the ruling BJP.
BJP has crossed all limits. People’s democratic rights are being attacked. We have to restore democracy in Tripura as well as in the country. Congress is the last hope of people.
Former MLA Ashish Saha said, “To take on the BJP, we all have to form a group. Political decency has been killed by the party in power.”
