Tripura Congress holds rally against rising fuel prices.

Agartala: In Tripura, the Congress, as part of the party’s nationwide campaign, staged a massive rally here on Thursday against the rise in fuel prices.

The rally, led by Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Birajit Sinha, former minister Sudip Rai Berman and former MLA Asish Saha, touched all major roads in the capital.

Prices of fuel and essential commodities have skyrocketed under (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi’s government, which has made the lives of ordinary people miserable. Today, we have organized a protest rally on the orders of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, ”Sinha said.

He also said that a TPCC delegation met Director General of Police (DGP) VS Yadav during the day and presented a memorandum to him on the state of law and order in the state. Called for improvement.

Criticizing the BJP-led central government, Rai Berman said, “During the Manmohan Singh government, the price of petrol was around Rs 62 per liter. Now it has gone up to Rs 109.Not only fuel but also life saving drugs have gone up in price. Millions of people lost their jobs in the Modi government.

Training guns on the Biplab Deb government in the state, the former health minister said his government had failed to deliver on its promises made to unemployed youth before the 2018 elections.

He said that the claims of the rulers to create jobs were contradictory.
