Tripura by-elections: ‘BJP is a virus and TMC is a vaccine’, says Abhishek Banerjee
Agartala: Tripura by-elections: ‘BJP is a virus and TMC is a vaccine’, says Abhishek Banerjee with less than 10 days left till the by-polls in Tripura, the election campaign in the state has intensified.
On Tuesday, while campaigning in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee called the BJP a “virus” for the country.
“The BJP is a virus for the country and the TMC is its only vaccine,” Abhishek Banerjee claimed while campaigning.
Banerjee fired all the guns against the Saffron Party, saying that the BJP-led government in Tripura was a sinking ship which could not be saved.
Ahead of the campaign rally, Abhishek Banerjee also organized a road show in Agartala to select the votes of TMC candidates for Agartala and Bordowali constituencies.
“The Congress ruled Tripura for many years and since then the people of Tripura have endured 25 years of misrule by the CPI-M. The BJP has fulfilled the aspirations of the youth for the last four years,” he said. By not doing so, he betrayed the people of the state.
The job market is shrinking. The climate of terror created by the BJP-backed thugs will never make the region fertile for investment, ”Banerjee added.
Abhishek Banerjee further criticized the Modi government for skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
“Please remember what the price of LPG was before 2014, what was the price of petrol and diesel. The BJP keeps claiming double engine. In fact, double engine means double robbery. People are being robbed in other parts, “Banerjee alleged.
