Tripura: BJP youth wing activist injured in cracker burst during victory march in Agartala. An activist of Tripura Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), BJP’s youth wing, was critically injured. Setting off fireworks during the party’s victory celebrations in Agartala on Monday.

The BJYM worker, identified as Kathmarta Ghosh, suffered severe injuries to his face and eyes as a cracker exploded in his hand.

He was rushed to Agartala GB Hospital and later shifted to Calcutta for modern treatment. The BJP has won three of the four seats in the Tripura by-election. The BJP youth wing held a rally to celebrate the party’s victory, where BJP YM workers set off fireworks.

According to sources, they were repeatedly warned while setting off fireworks. However, instead of listening to his party colleagues, he went to check the fireworks which did not show any signs of an explosion at first sight and he was involved in an accident.
