
Tripura assembly elections 2023 result updates; BJP is on lead
Agartala: Counting of votes for the recently concluded Tripura Assembly elections is underway.
The counting of votes began at 8 am on Thursday (March 2).
Voting for the Tripura Assembly elections took place in a single phase on February 16.
In Tripura, early trends show the BJP with a comfortable lead.
Tripura, which went to polls on February 16, saw an overall voter turnout of around 90 percent.
Adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful counting of votes in Tripura.
Counting of votes for 60 assembly constituencies in Tripura is going on at 21 counting stations.
From Charilam, BJP’s Jishnu Dev Verma is ahead of Congress’s Ashok Deb Barma.
CPM leads in Sabroom, TIPRA ahead in Takarjala
Tripura CM Manik Saha won from Borduwali constituency.
Saha won by a margin of 832 votes, defeating his nearest rival Ashis Kumar Saha of the Congress.
