Police have arrested three youths for allegedly in Girl Gang-raped in Tripura’s Gomati district, an officer said on Tuesday.
The three youths were arrested from Raiyabari area of the district when a case of gang rape was registered against them, the officer said.
According to the police, a 15-year-old girl from Udaipur sub-division was in a relationship with one of the accused for about a year.
The youth had invited the girl to come to Raibari area and accordingly she came on Saturday. The young man took the girl to a secluded place where two of his friends were waiting. Officer-in-charge of Qila police station Lakshyabir Jamatiya said that they raped the girl and left her unconscious.\
The police rescued the girl after receiving a distress call from her, the officer said.
“The girl is now stable and the three alleged rapists have been arrested on Monday morning… Probe under the provisions of gang-rape as well as the stringent POCSO Act has already started,” the officer said.
