Tokyo Olympian Mary kom – Boxing

MC Mary Kom is the most famous Manipur boxer. With six world championship gold medals under her belt, Mary is synonymous with boxing in India. The mother of four is currently in red-hot form. She will enter the Tokyo 2020 Games. After winning silver and bronze medals at the Asian Boxing Championship and the Boxham International Boxing Tournament respectively.
Going into the Olympics, Marie’s biggest weapon is her two decades of experience and at times her resume of 19 international medals (13 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze) is enough to intimidate inexperienced boxers. However, the Olympics is not just any other event and the performers at the mega event are considered the best in their fields. And perhaps, this will be the perfect opportunity for the 38-year-old boxer to showcase what he has learned in his two-decade-long career and complete his medal cabinet by winning an Olympic gold.
