To support Kitovi, RM Lotha 11 fellow from Khehoyi Camp relocate
Kohima: A total of 11 “political members” from Khehoyi Camp, located in Nuiland District, comprising 3 Kilonsers, 6 Deputy Kilonsers, and 2 Tatars, have reportedly ‘relocated’ to support the GPRN/NSCN under President Major (Retd) RM Lotha and Ato Kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi.
The relocated members are Tokiho Aye (Kilonser), Tokiho Tuccu (Kilonser), Kakiho G. Zhimo (Kilonser), Botovi K. Aye (Dy. Kilonser), Akheto Swu (Dy. Kilonser), Hojekhu Chishi (Dy. Kilonser), Hotoshe H. Jimo (Dy. Kilonser), Asheto Shohe (Dy. Kilonser), Hokugha Awomi (Dy. Kilonser), Mughato Muru (Tatar), and Nitoho Ayemi (Tatar).
A press release from the Secretary of MIP, GPRN/NSCN, under Kitovi and Lotha, described the relocation as an “escape from confinement.”
Recounting their experiences with considerable distress, they indicated that a small group of self-interested individuals within the camp “orchestrated a troubling” situation on April 21, 2024, by “unofficially impeaching” Kitovi as Ato Kilonser, it claimed.
“This unprecedented action involved the clandestine organisation of what can only be described as an Army Coup,” the release added, maintaining that it effectively confined “remaining camp members and barred them from exercising their freedom to leave,” it added.
“Such a manoeuvre blatantly contravened the established guidelines set forth in the ‘Yezabo,’ the governing principles of the community,” the release further noted.
The members also highlighted that the entire operation was “carried out by a select few from the military without the knowledge or approval of both the Cabinet and the broader Naga Region representatives” and expressed deep concern over the implementation of an Army “form of governance model in a modern democratic context,” it added.
According to MIP, the 11 members are united in their efforts to enhance and solidify the “Agreed Position,” recognising its importance in guiding their collective actions toward an early Naga solution.
Furthermore, their steadfast commitment to supporting their undisputed leader demonstrates their dedication to effective leadership and a united vision for progress, aiming to bring about peace, prosperity, and a secured future for the younger Naga generation.
