To restore peace and calm CM Biren Singh makes a fresh appeal

Imphal: The Chief Minister of Manipur  N Biren Singh on June 12 appealed to the people to focus on restoring peace and harmony and assured them that the government would protect the state and the society from illegal immigrants.
The series of untoward incidents that took place after May 3 has now come to an end. And let the people of the state focus on restoring peace and harmony to resolve the issue under the rule of law,” he said while addressing the media.
He also said that an inquiry committee has already been formed to investigate the current crisis and the whole truth will come out in due course.
“People should control their emotions and extend their cooperation in restoring peace,” he added.

The Chief Minister of Manipur also informed that the state cabinet has decided to construct 4000 prefabricated houses for those who are not in a position to go back to their original land.
“The state government will also provide assistance to those who are willing to renovate the house which unfortunately got partially burnt or vandalized during the incident,” he added.
He said that the government has launched an initiative to reissue all necessary documents such as AADHAR, NFSA, health cards, bank accounts, driving license etc. to the affected victims lost during the crisis.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister also highlighted the various steps being taken in the state as part of efforts to bring peace and normalcy in the state, adding, “The government is not silent and the situation is normalized.” Working to bring condition”.
According to Biren Singh, ministers, MLAs and officials are working towards evacuating the affected people, setting up relief camps, providing security etc.

He said, “This is an unprecedented example when a Union Home Minister stayed in the state for three days and a Union Minister of State also stayed for more than 16 days to monitor and evaluate the situation in the state.”
He added that the Center under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already approved a package of Rs 100 crore (approx) to distribute 30,000 MT of rice to the affected people along with the necessary immediate relief.
He added, “The government is also trying to provide all essential items to the people.

The chief minister also said that a ‘no work, no pay’ system would be implemented for government officials, and emphasized that those who could not physically attend the office could do so through e-office. Can do and appealed to everyone not to act emotionally.
“Let us give up violence and let the rule of law prevail,” he vowed.

The chief minister sought more people’s support and cooperation and said that the Center has repeatedly assured that the territorial integrity of the state will not be compromised and separate administrations will not be allowed in the state.
