TMC to announce Tripura State Committee soon: Sushmita Dev

Agartala: All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sasmita Deo on Monday said the party would soon announce a full state committee in Tripura.

He said the TMC is currently more serious about the upcoming by-elections than the 2023 Assembly elections and strategic efforts are being made to ensure victory.

Praising the present state leadership of the TMC, Dev said, “Our steering committee is working day and night to lay a solid foundation for the party. Protests and rallies are held whenever the need arises.” The people of Kashmir have already shown their support to the TMC and the party will not do any injustice.

Indicating that TMC may have some more leaders, he said, “We are waiting for some new leaders. They are talking to us and will probably join us soon.” “As soon as he joins the TMC, we will not waste any time in announcing the state committee. We are also opening our party office in Agartala.”

Dev also said that a draft list of the state committee would soon be sent to TMC chief Mamata Banerjee for his approval.
