Three KCP(T) freedom fighters sent to judicial custody in Imphal

Imphal: Special Judge NIA Imphal West has remanded three freedom fighters of the proscribed KCP Taibangnganba to judicial custody till August 12 for placing a bomb and serving demand letters to shops located in and around Imphal area.

The three who were sent to judicial custody yesterday have been identified as Soi-senba Oinam (22) and Lou- rembam Chingkei-nganba alias Tomba (21) of Pishum Oinam Leikai and Ningom-bam Jerit (23) of Pishum- thong Ningom Leirak.

They were produced before the Court by Singjamei police after completion of police custody period.

Soisenba Oinam was arrested on July 21, and his disclosure led to the arrest of the other two.

In the Court yesterday, the Special PP submitted that on preliminary integration, Soisenba admitted to serving demand letters to various Spas, salons and shops located in and around Imphal area.

He admitted to collecting the money and handing it over to his commander, submitted the prosecutor.
