The Chief Ministers of North Eastern states have been invited to Bangladesh.

Guwahati: Northeast CM’s invited to the country by Bangladesh.

This invitation is given to further strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and the North East region of India.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Shahriar Alam said this.

The Northeast CM’s invited by Bangladesh on a three-day visit.
Bangladesh and some northeastern states of India already have relations with Bangladesh in the areas of cross-border trade and communication.
Bangladesh and Northeast India share a 1879 km long international border.

In April, Bangladesh allowed India to use two of its main shipping ports – Mongla and Chittagong ports.
India has successfully experimented with shipment of goods from eastern Indian states to North Eastern region through Bangladesh’s Chittagong port.

It is noteworthy that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently paid an official visit to India.
