Kohima: The Naga Students Federation has condemned the blast at a Catholic school in Manipur. The Naga Students Federation (NSF) on Tuesday said it was deeply disturbed by the bomb blast at the gate of Little Flower School Sangaiporou in Imphal, Manipur.
According to the student body, this heinous act that took place on the premises of an educational institution has caused a great shock to the young minds of the students.
NSF President Kegwayhun Tep and Education Secretary Medovi Rhi said that while the whole region is collectively striving for peace and stability, such a heinous act negates the aspirations of the general public and all right-thinking citizens Should be rightly condemned.
The NSF called for peace in the region and urged the competent authorities to spare no effort to bring the perpetrators to justice and to eradicate such elements and practices against the social stability and development of the region.
Further, the NSF said it stands with solidarity and extends its support to the school to achieve a secure future.
At around 3:10 a.m. Sunday, unidentified miscreants detonated a bomb on the school grounds, damaging parts of the school building, including the window panes.
Protesting against the IED blast at the school, all educational institutions run by the Catholic Mission in Manipur had decided to remain closed on Tuesday.
