The Churches of Nagaland pledge to work for a dignified solution to the Naga political issue.

KOHIMA: Churches in Nagaland have vowed to work for a dignified solution to the Naga political issue.

The Churches of Nagaland are committed to bridging the differences within the Naga people for a non-violent and dignified solution to the Naga political issue.

The resolution was passed during the closing worship service of the two-day Sexi Centenary celebrations under the auspices of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).

Assam Baptist Convention, Manipur Baptist Convention, Arunachal Baptist Churches Convention, Northeast India Christian Council, Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India, Asia Pacific Baptist Federation, Baptist World Alliance, India Mission Coordination Committee, Assemblies of God and Christian Revival Representative churches also participated.
The churches vowed to “work for greater unity and better understanding among the various groups of people through the elimination of selfish pursuits and conflicts that divide and undermine the historical harmony of the Nagas.”

“To this end, we reaffirm our common solidarity and resolve to stand in the gap in our collective search for a political solution that is non-violent, just and respectful,” he added.
