Agartala: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Tripura capital Agartala on a one-day visit on Monday morning.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who landed at Agartala’s MBB Airport, was warmly welcomed by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The visit of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the convener of North East Democratic Alliance, is of great importance.
The visit of the Assam chief minister to Tripura is being seen as an attempt by the BJP to boost the morale of its party leaders and workers ahead of the 2023 assembly elections in the state.
Assam Chief Minister Rabindranwala is scheduled to address the Vijay Abhiyan at BJP’s booth at Satbarishki Bhavan.
Sarma is also likely to visit Tripureshwari Temple and Santi Kali Ashram before returning to Assam.
