Itanagar: The Center has approved 27 road projects worth Rs 553 crore in Arunachal Pradesh, officials said here on Monday.

Referring to a letter written by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiran Rijiju, he said that these projects were approved under Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), which The aim was to improve road connectivity in the border state.
“As you know, infrastructure development has been the focus of the government’s efforts to promote economic growth. In pursuit of this mission, my ministry has focused on providing better connectivity to remote areas in the Northeast. Focusing has begun on a number of highway projects, “the letter said.

The projects include the construction of a 14-kilometer road from Boa Sango to Naomi in Kra Daadi District, widening and improvement of the road from Seram to Bijari in East Siang District, and construction of a road in Mechuka Township in Shi Yumi District, Said.
