The Assam Assembly passed seven repeal bills.

Guwahati: The Assam Assembly on Thursday passed seven bills repealing old laws.

All the bills introduced in the House yesterday were passed by voice vote without any debate.

Among the repealed acts, the original acts of four are the 1950s Assam Evacuate Property (Repeal) Bill, 2022, the Assam Jute (Control of Prices) (Repeal) Bill, 2022, the Assam Darrang and Lakhimpur Districts (Assam) was from Laws relating to State Subjects) (Repeal) Bill, 2022′ and the Assam Local Authorities Grants (Charged) (Repeal) Bill, 2022′.
The Public Gambling (Extension to Mizo District) (Repeal) Bill, 2022′, the original Act of 1962, was also passed.

The Assam Farmers (Group Irrigation) (Repealing) Bill, 2022′ and the Tinsukia and Dibrugarh Electricity Supply Undertakings (Acquisition) (Repeal) Bill, 2022 also passed two other pieces of legislation in the 1970s. Cancelled.
