Itanagar:  The APCC protested against the misuse of ED by the BJP government. The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Monday called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi here to protest against the alleged misuse of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) by the BJP-led NDA government.

The APCC marched from its office here to Indira Gandhi Park. Speaking to reporters, APCC president Nabam Toki said the rally was in support of party leader Rahul Gandhi, who was summoned by the ED to investigate a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper.

Toki termed the allegations against Rahul Gandhi as “fake and baseless”, while accusing the BJP of abusing the powers of the federal agency to tarnish the individual’s political career and the image of the great old party.
It is the Congress that has made the political history of the country. Therefore, there is no reason to claim that the party is silent on any issues related to the state and only raises its voice against national issues, Toki added, adding that people have faith in the law of the land and Gandhi will be seen clearly.

Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the ED in a money laundering probe linked to the National Herald newspaper when the MP arrived at the agency’s headquarters in New Delhi, with a battery of party leaders and supporters.
