Imphal: The Zomi Students’ Federation (ZSF) has written to Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey, urging her intervention to halt the rampant recruitment process in the state.
The rampant recruitment amid the ongoing violence, which has torn apart Manipur, as the ZSF says, has exacerbated discrimination against the Zo ethnic tribe.
The Zomi Students’ Federation (ZSF) pointed to the case of a recently conducted recruitment process/examination of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Section Officer Grades I and II posts.
For the written examination, the only examination center in the hill districts was conducted in Senapati, a Naga-dominated district in the state, it said.
