Special task force Assam arrested top ISIS leaders in Dhubri

Guwahati: Assam Police’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two alleged top leaders of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in a major counter-terrorism operation.
Acting on the intelligence, the STF team traced the accused Haris Farooqi and Anurag Singh along the Dhubri border.
Farooqi, who has been identified as the head of ISIS in India, and Singh, his converted accomplice, were allegedly planning to enter India for subversive activities.
Both are allegedly involved in recruitment, terror funding and planning attacks through IEDs.
The arrested persons are facing charges from NIA, Delhi, ATS, Lucknow and other agencies.

It is reported that the Special task force (STF) will hand them over to the NIA for further legal action.
