KOHIMA: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday said that the BJP-NDPP alliance in Nagaland will continue to work for peace, development and prosperity of the state.
Addressing two election rallies in Mon and Wokha districts, he said that the overall development of Nagaland and North-East has been made possible by the tireless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
AYUSH and Ports Minister Sonowal said that the peace achieved in the region and the development work done are the results of PM Modi’s vision for the Northeast to make it a new growth engine for India.
He claimed that no Prime Minister has given so much importance to the growth and development of the North East.
“Under the dynamic leadership of Modi, the BJP-NDPP alliance will continue to work for the peace, development and prosperity of Nagaland. Your vote for the BJP-NDPP alliance is for the peace and development of Nagaland. There is a vote,” he told the crowd.
He said that the effort to advance development in the region is only the beginning of a glorious era of development for the North East.
Sonowal was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs John Barla and Nagaland Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament S Phangnon Konyak.
