Sonowal reviews flood, land erosion prevention projects in Assam’s Dibrugarh

Guwahati: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed various projects implemented in Dabrogarh, Assam to curb land erosion and flood control.

According to an official release, senior officials briefed him on the projects around the embankment and other measures taken to prevent flooding and erosion in the region.

 

People in the vicinity of Banda Kota’s Halgaon, Tengabari  Ghat, Pukhurijaan, Raidaangnear Dinjaan Army Camp, and Bindhakota Bor Namghar are facing floods during the monsoon and the government has launched several schemes to control it.

 

Sonowal, which has portfolios of ports, shipping and waterways, called on the concerned authorities and departments to work expeditiously for a complete solution against floods in the area.
