Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani Mukerjea granted bail by Supreme Court

New Delhi: Indrani Mukerjea, the great blamed for the Sheena Bora murder case was conceded bail by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

A three-judge seat headed by Justice L Nageswara Rao said that the preliminary won’t be finished at any point in the near future.

The seat while conceding the bail said, “The charge made against the candidate is that she arranged the homicide considering the live-in relationship of her girl with Rahul Mukerjea, who was the child of Peter Mukerjea and his prior spouse.”

“We are not offering remarks on the benefits of the case. Regardless of whether 50% observers are given by arraignment, the preliminary wouldn’t be over soon. She will be delivered on bail subject to fulfillment of the preliminary court. Similar circumstances forced on Peter Mukerjea will likewise be forced on her,” the seat additionally including Justices B R Gavai and A S Bopanna said.

Indrani Mukerjea has been stopped at the Byculla ladies’ jail in Mumbai following her capture in August 2015.

Sheena Bora was 24 when she was supposedly choked to death in a vehicle by Indrani Mukerjea, her then driver Shyamvar Rai and previous spouse Sanjeev Khanna in April 2012.

The body was then said to have been singed in a woodland in the adjoining Raigad region.

Previous media noble Peter Mukerjea was additionally captured for purportedly being essential for the intrigue. He was allowed bail by the high court in February 2020.
