Agartala: Senior BJP leader of Telangana Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was sworn in as the 20th Governor of Tripura on Thursday (October 26).
The swearing-in ceremony was held at Tripura Raj Bhawan in Agartala.
He succeeded Satyadeo Narian Arya as the Governor of Tripura.
Nallu was administered the oath of office by Tripura High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
Tripira Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and his cabinet colleagues, senior officials and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
After assuming charge, Nallu said, “I am being given the responsibility of protecting the Constitution in Tripura and I will do it. I am happy to have the opportunity to serve the people of Tripura and contribute to the development process.”
