Security forces nabbed an active freedom figher of NSCN-K (YA)

Kohima: An active freedom fighter of Myanmar-based NSCN-K (YA) was arrested in Mokokchung for his alleged involvement in extortion cases.

The freedom fighter was nabbed by the Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police following a joint operation which was launched based on specific intelligence of the presence of freedom fighters in the general area of ​​Mongsenyimti village in Mokokchung district of Nagaland.
According to officials, this freedom fighter was highly active since 2007 and was involved in various extortion-related activities.

The arrested freedom fighter has been handed over to the police for further action.
