
Arunachal Pradesh: Search continues for missing youth from India-China border.
Itanagar: A massive search operation is underway for two youths from Arunachal Pradesh who went missing near the India-China border two months ago.
The two youths went missing in August from Chaglagam area near the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
The two missing youths have been identified as Bateilum Tikro and his friend Bayingso Manyu.
Both the youths are residents of Duiliang village in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The two youths had left home on August 19 to search for medicinal herbs and hunt in the mountains along the Indo-China border.
From the day the two young men left the house, they did not return.
The families of the two missing youths claim that they may have been taken hostage by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
It is suspected that the two youths from Arunachal Pradesh had inadvertently crossed the border to China.
Meanwhile, the help of the Chinese PLA has also been sought to trace the missing pair.
