Sangai Festival 2022: Manipur announces half-day holiday on November 29 and 30

Imphal: The Manipur government has announced a half-day holiday on November 29 and 30 in view of the ongoing Sungai Festival 2022 in the state.

This announcement was made by Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh on Sunday (November 27).
“Delighted to announce that the state of Manipur will observe a half-day holiday on November 29 and 30 in connection with Sangai Festival 2022,” CM Biren Singh said.

The Manipur Chief Minister added: “I request the people of the state to take advantage of the opportunity and participate in the solidarity festival during these last two days.”
Manipur Chief Minister Bairan Singh added that the state is “on the way to achieving the goal of becoming a tourist hub”.

Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh said, “Under the BJP government, the state has undergone a massive and radical change.

The Chief Minister of Manipur said that as the Sangai festival becomes more popular in the country, I hope that more prominent leaders along with a wide range of artistes and performers from different states across the country as well as abroad will participate in the future.
On Sunday (November 27), Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan attended the Sangai Festival 2022.

Addressing the event, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan invited the state of Manipur to organize the Sungai Festival there.
