Arunachal Deputy Chief Minister Chunaman said both the state governments are committed to resolving the seven-decade-old border dispute after the BJP-led NDA government came to power in both the states as well as at the Centre.

“We are moving in the right direction under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah,” said Main, who is also chairman of Namsai and Lohit district regional committees.
He added that the border issue between Namsai and Tinsukia and Lohat and Tinsukia has almost been resolved as there is no border dispute between these two districts with Assam.

However, Main added that whatever slight differences exist between the district administrations of the two sides on the proposed ‘as and where basis’, it should be resolved amicably between the two legislators in consultation with the parties. will be done
