Guwahati: An accused in the Ranjit Bora murder case on Friday allegedly tried to kill himself inside the jail of Dispur police station in Guwahati.
Accused Shah Alam Talukdar is the main accused in the case and is a resident of Panjabari area where Ranjit Bora was killed.
According to reports, Shah Alam tried to kill himself with the sharp edges of the bucket. He tried to cut his nerve at the wrist.
Shah Alam is among the six accused in the case. Five of the six have already been arrested.
Purby Diary distributor Ranjit Bora was shot inside the car in which he was going to deposit money at a bank in Guwahati, Assam.
Bora died at GMCH as he was shot in the head.
The incident took place near Silpagram on Panjbari Road in Guwahati, Assam.
The assailants fled the scene with Rs 5 lakh after firing shots in Bora.
